The Feedback Module Settings

Email Address and Options

Setting Description
Send To The email address feedback should be sent to. Multiuple email addresses may be separated by a semi-colon.
Send To User Roles The roles feedback should be sent to. Overrides the Send To setting.
Send To The email address feedback should be sent to. Multiuple email addresses may be separated by a semi-colon.
Send From The email address feedback is sent from. This supports ISPs who only allow email to be sent from a specific domain. The Reply To address is set to the email address entered by the user submitting the feedback.
Send Copy Sends a copy of the feedback to the submitting user.
Can Opt Out Adds a checkbox to the feedback form allow the submitting user to opt out of receiving a copy of their feedback.
Send Email Asynchronously Sends submitted feedback in an async process to increase user response time. Valuable for sites where feedback is being sent to many users.

Feedback category Settings

Setting Description
Category Sets the category for the feedback.
Category List Visible Enables a dropdown list that allows submitting user to choose a feedback category.
Category Required Forces the entry of a category.
Use Category Value as Send To If the category value contains only valid email addresses, then these are used to send the feedback to. Valid email addresses may be separated by a semi-colon.

Form and Fields Settings

Setting Description
Field Label Position Controls the top level css class applied to the form. Either FeedbackForm or NarrowFeedbackForm. These classes control where the labels display on the form.
Form Width Controls the width of the form.
Subject Sets the Subject of the feedback, used when the subject is selected as hidden.
Subject Field Type Controls whether the subject is a dropdown list or a free format text box. If it is hidden a subject should be chosen in the Subject setting.
Email Field Controls whether the Email Address field is required, optional or hidden.
Confirm Email Field If set to required then the user must enter the email address twice.
Name Field Controls whether the Name field is required, optional or hidden.
Street Field Controls whether the Street field is required, optional or hidden.
City Field Controls whether the City field is required, optional or hidden.
Region or State Field Controls whether the Region or State field is required, optional or hidden.
Country Field Controls whether the Country field is required, optional or hidden.
Postal Code Field Controls whether the Postal/Zip Code field is required, optional or hidden.
Telephone Field Controls whether the Telephone Number field is required, optional or hidden.
Message Field Controls whether the Message field is required, optional or hidden.
Email Validation Sets the regex for validation the email address.
Postal Code Validation Sets the regex for validation the postal/zip code.
Telephone Validation Sets the regex for validation the telephone number.
Message Rows Controls the height of the message box.
Max Message Length Maximum length of the message that can be submitted.

Submission and Security Settings

Setting Description
Captcha Visibility Controls when the Captcha validation box is displayed.
Captcha Ausio Enables audio button to play the Captcha code using the phonetic alphabet.
Captcha Case Controls whether text case is used when validating the code.
Captcha Line Noise Controls the clarity of the letters displayed.
Captcha Background Noise Controls the clarity of the background behind the code.
Repeat Submission Sets whether submissions are checked as to whether they are repeats using a particular method - IP address, email address or userid. This is to control spam.
Minimum Submission Interval The period of time for which a repeat submission is disallowed.
Restrict Duplicate Submission Validates that the submission is not an exact duplicate of a previous submission at any time by an email address.
Redirect To Page Redirects to this page after a successful submission.
Enable Akismet Enables Akismet spam checking - http://akismet.com.
Akismet Key Valid Akismet key.
Send Spam to moderator When Akismet identifies an item as spam, the item will be mailed to configured moderators even if moderation is not enabled.

Moderation and Feedback Management Settings

Setting Description
Scope Controls what the scope is for the moderation view within the module - module instance or portal.
Moderated Controls whether submissions are moderated.
Send Emails to Admins Controls whether feedback is sent to admins or not.
Send when Published Moderated and Spam feedback items are only emailed to recipients after they have been published by a moderator.
Email Only If module is unmoderated, does not retain feedback in the database. Items are deleted the next time the schedule process runs.
Moderation Categories Controils which categories are moderated.
Unmoderated Category Status For categories that are unmoderated set what status they are left in after the feedback is sent - Pending, Private, Published, Archived or Deleted.
Print Action Controls whether the moderation view print action displays a pop-up box or not.

Cleanup Settings

Setting Description
Pending Controls whether Pending feedback is subject to cleanup.
Private Controls whether Private feedback is subject to cleanup.
Published Controls whether Published feedback is subject to cleanup.
Archived Controls whether Archived feedback is subject to cleanup.
Spam Controls whether Spam feedback is subject to cleanup.
Days Before Controls the number of days before current date that feedback will be kept.
Max Feedback Controls the maximum number of feedback items for each status that will be kept.
